Yes, you can book the tickets online from the official website and also can view the timings of the train.
What Is The Maximum Number Of Passengers Booked Per Ticket?
You can book maximum of 6 passengers per ticket.
Can I Book The Wait Listed Tickets?
Yes the IRCTC allows its customers to book even the wait listed tickets. You can do so from the official website of IRCTC.

Yes, you can book the RAC tickets from the official website.
What Is The Maximum Time Limit Upto Which Tickets Can Be Booked?
In case of “I Tickets” you can book before 2/3 clear days but in case of the “E Tickets” the booking takes place up to the chart preparation.
Is Name Change Permissible?
Yes, you can change the name of the person in both the cases of “I Tickets” and “E Tickets” as per the rules of the Railways regarding the changing of the name.
Is Journey Alterations Permissible?
In case of the “I Tickets” you can alter the journey route as per the Journey Alteration rules of Railways. But this facility is not available in the case of the “E Tickets”.
Is Change Of Boarding Point Permissible?
Yes, it is permissible in both types of tickets that you buy or book from the official website of the IRCTC.
Can Cancellation Be Done Across Counters?
Yes, in category of the “I Tickets”, it is permissible as per the procedure of the Railways but not in the case of the “E Tickets”. The cancellation online before charting is not available in “I Tickets”, but this service is available in “E Tickets”.
Which Cards Are Accepted By IRCTC, For Booking?
You can use both types of cards such as Credit card and debit card for booking.
Is ID Proof Required For Booking?
In the case of the “I Tickets” booking, you are not required to provide any of the ID proof. But in the case of the “E Tickets”, you are required to show your ID proof at the time of the journey. Keep in mind that you should have a valid ID proof that you have listed in website.
What Are The Service Charges For Booking Per Tickets (Max 6 Passengers)?
If you are in the category of the “I Tickets”, you are required to pay Rs.80/- for SL, 2S and Rs.120 for all other Upper classes plus service tax. For the category of “E Tickets”, IRCTC, charges Rs.20/- (Second / Sleeper) and Rs.40/-per e-ticket in case of all other classes, along with the service tax irrespective of the number of passengers booked.
What Are Booking Timings And What Is The Maximum Number Of Bookings Per Month?
You can book the “I Tickets” and “E Tickets” between 12.20 am to 11.45 pm. and you can book your tickets maximum of 6 times in a month.
IRCTC also offers free of cost services to many of the people in order to reduce the ticket booking burden from them. Its services mainly includes checking the pnr status, getting the exact timing of the trains arrival and departure, showing the train fare, along with the route map and booking for the tatkal tickets.
