Prohibited Items on Planes

Passengers are not allowed to carry prohibited items like Metal scissors with pointed tips, lighters, gravity catch knives, stilettos, daggers, etc on a plane in their carry-on baggage, checked baggage or on their person.
Sharp, bladed or blunt instruments which are capable of being used as threat to travelers are not permitted on plane like Box Cutters, Ice Axes/Ice Picks, Knives any length and type (except for plastic or round bladed butter knives), Meat Cleavers, Razor-type blades such as box cutters, utility knives, razor blades not in a cartridge, but excluding safety razors, Sabres, Sword.
Blunt objects like Baseball Bats, Bows and Arrows, Cricket Bats, Golf Clubs, Hockey Sticks, Lacrosse Sticks, Pool Cues, Ski Poles, Spear Guns that could be used to cause serious injury are prohibited.
Guns and Firearms
Explosive or incendiary substances like Ammunition, BB guns, Compressed Air Guns, Firearms, flare guns, Pellet Guns, Realistic Replicas of Firearms, pistols and rifles that could be used to cause serious or threaten the safety of aircraft are not allowed.
Axes and hatchets, Cattle Prods, Crowbars, Hammers, Drills (including cordless portables power drills), Saws (including cordless portable power saws), Screwdrivers (except those in eyeglass repair kits), Tools (including but not limited to wrenches and pliers), Wrenches and Pliers are considered illegal.
Prohibited Items on Planes
The following items are completely banned from aircraft, and should not be brought to the airport:
Explosive and Incendiary Materials
Most flammable, explosive and corrosive substances are completely prohibited including Gunpowder, (including black powder), dynamite, blasting caps, fireworks, flares, plastic explosives, hand grenades, replicas of incendiary devices, and replicas of plastic explosives.
Devices designed to stun or immobilize Such as Aerosols (with the exception of personal care items or toiletries in limited quantities in containers sized three ounces or smaller), carbon dioxide cartridges, oxygen tanks (scuba or medical), mace, tear gas, pepper spray, self-inflating rafts, and deeply refrigerated gases such as liquid nitrogen are strictly prohibited.
All matches are banned from checked baggage, and strike-anywhere matches are banned completely from aircraft, but you can have a single book of safety (non-strike anywhere) matches with you in the passenger cabin.
There are some exceptions for implanted radioactive medical devices. Contact your airline for details on how to ship other radioactive materials
Apart from above items, Passengers are not permitted to carry the following articles into security restricted areas and on board the cabin of an aircraft.
- Poisons– Weed-killers, pesticides, insecticides, and live virus materials.
- Infectious materials-Medical laboratory specimens, viral organisms, and bacterial cultures
- Corrosives-Drain cleaners, car batteries, wet cell batteries, acids, alkalis, lye, and mercury
- Oxidizing materials-Bleaching powder, peroxides, nitric acid, fertilizers, swimming pool or spa chemicals, and fiberglass repair kits
Other Dangerous Articles
For the purpose of passenger’s safety, other dangerous articles such as attaché briefcases with installed alarm devices; or incorporate lithium batteries and/or pyrotechnic are restricted to be carried on board.
Certain electronic devices are strictly prohibited for use during the journey because they can interfere with the aircraft’s navigation and communication systems. Therefore, the crew may ask travelers to completely turn off all devices in certain situations. All devices must be turned off and stowed during emergency preparations.
You are responsible for what’s in your bags, so double-check your pockets and clothing bags that you may not carry the items which have been prohibited. Please do not carry anything that is considered illegal or intended for use as a weapon or a fire starter (including matches).
Avoid making joke about having Prohibited Items on Planes like guns, bombs, terrorism, weapons, knives, stabbings, murders, suffocation, crime, knives, hammer, or anything else that could be taken as a threat. Airport security takes such statements seriously.
Some items that are generally permitted may still be subject to additional screening or prohibited at security’s discretion. During that times, try to be remain patient and understanding. Don’t argue, make a ruckus, or throw an anger outburst.
